When you ask people if they are Christians, many will say Yes. However, if you ask are you Born Again, Many say no. I once witnessed the Gospel to a Religious man, and said, "you must be Born Again." He asked me where does the Bible say this? I opened my Bible and showed it to him. [John 3:3 KJV] 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. After he read it, he proceeded to Swear and Curse me.
You may ask why did he get so angry? Because people know in their hearts this means something more than just being a Good Person. None of us could Birth ourselves into this world. Physical birth is a Miracle. Psa 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
The Psalmist declares the Wonder of God's work in Creating mankind Born into this world. Yet their is another Birth that must take place for us to enter Heaven. Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:... Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. This Image is not Physical, for God is a spirit and must be worshipped in spirit and truth.
[Jhn 4:23 KJV] 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
This is the New Birth. To be Born Again, one must be born from Above by the Holy Spirit.
[Jhn 1:10-13 KJV] 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own (Israel), and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
[1Pe 1:23 KJV] 23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
[Rom 10:8-17 KJV] 8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, [even] in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? 17 So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Dear reader, now I must ask you, "Have you been Born Again." Your Good Works cannot Save you. You cannot earn your way into heaven. No Pastor, Priest, Catholic or Protestant can save you. Rom.3:23 For All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. On Judgment Day you will face God alone to give an Account of your Life. [Rev 20:15 KJV] 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Your name is written in the Book of Life the moment you Trust the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior. Salvation is the Gift of God to all and upon all who call on Him.
[Eph 2:8-9 KJV] 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
